Job Shadowing
- Have you thought about a career in healthcare? Job shadowing helps you explore your options. Spend time observing healthcare professionals at their job
- To be considered for a Job Shadow Experience you must complete “Confidentiality and HIPAA Training” and “Job Shadow Authorization to Participate Packet” and you must have a current flu and COVID vaccine (inquire for up to date COVID requirements)
- If you have completed a Job Shadow Experience form through Regional West, you need not complete AHEC’s Job Shadow Authorization to Participate Packet
- Upon receipt of your completed package, you will be emailed a Shadow Experience Authorization and Release of Liability form in which to complete, sign and email to Tammy.Fehringer@NP-AHEC.org. Informational Brochure.

RHOP – Rural Health Opportunities Program

Scholars Program
- The Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program is a two-year program for health profession students who want to practice health care in rural and urban underserved areas
- AHEC Scholars work as an interdisciplinary team through innovative online courses, in-person workshops, and by applying their skills in community-based experiences
- Those accepted into the Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program may be eligible for a stipend
